We are moving the data for some applications...
Keeping the data files in the documents folder has become problematic as this folder is typically used for user documents rather than application data. As such, and to prevent user and system errors, we are moving the data into a system directory better suited for application data.
Starting with My Checkbook 3.5, data files will be moved into the system application data directories on the Mac and Windows platforms. These directories are generally not user-accessible, and will help to prevent accidental moving, renaming and damaging changes to those files.
The new locations should not be generally accessed by users, however you can choose "Show data folder..." from the Tools menu in the Help menu. This is for advanced users only who are familiar with the importance of keeping all the data files together. Do not rename, move or delete any files or try to manually edit the files. Doing so will likely cause data corruption issues.
