Resetting or Repairing the Sorting
Generally, My Checkbook maintains an accurate sorting of all the transactions you enter. However, due to computer error such as a crash or data corruption, there may be a time when you suspect that the sorting is not accurate. Indications of problems with the sorting may include:
- Wrong or Unexpected Balance
- Dates in improper order
My Checkbook includes an easy tool for resetting the sorting.
For Windows users:
Hold down the Alt key on the keyboard, and then right-click on the account name in the left side account list. Choose the Repair Account Sorting option.
For Mac OS X Users:
Hold down the Option key on the keyboard, and then right-click on the account name in the left side account list. Choose the Repair Account Sorting option.
After Using the Repair Feature
Once you have performed the repair, please look through your data to see if it is still accurate. We recommend that you report the issue to our support staff, and try to let them know any incidents which happened just before you noticed the sorting error.
